I was driving in bumper-to-bumper traffic and couldn’t miss the huge banners on the side of a parking deck that showcased the players in the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. It was reminiscent of the movie billboards in Hollywood or the Kobe tributes that are posted near the Staples Center. It was a real breath of fresh air to see classical musicians given super-star status.

It’s a shame I didn’t have my phone camera out sooner – since the two banners that I first saw are now hidden behind the palm trees in this shot. Whoever paid for that is getting their money’s worth, since I got to stare at them for a few minutes as I was crawling along in pre-rush-hour traffic. Bravo to them for pulling out all the stops to promote the ensemble! It’s definitely A-list exposure.
