The ED Show: Dick Cheney “Calling All Terrorists”

I remember the first time that Cheney popped up on a national interview to try his usual litany of scare tactics. I thought to myself “this guy is actually *asking* for something to happen to the US.” Honestly, at this point – I sometimes wonder if he has some right-wing splinter cell that he calls to action from these interviews… like a terrorist leader sending a coded message through a video played on Al Jazeera. With the allegation of his own personal squad of goons, it wouldn’t surprise me if he had some freelancers out there waiting for a phone call (or a *go code* from one of his interviews on Fox News). It seems that Ed is cozying up to my latest conspiracy theory…

MSNBC’s embed code is not working, so here’s a direct link to the video.

After Cheney is [hopefully] tried as a war criminal at the Hague, perhaps the our Attorney General will look into his public statements for prosecution under the Sedition Act.

Whoever, when the United States is at war, shall willfully make or convey false reports or false statements with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the military or naval forces of the United States, or to promote the success of its enemies, [...] and whoever shall by word or act support or favor the cause of any country with which the United States is at war or by word or act oppose the cause of the United States therein, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $10,000 or the imprisonment for not more than twenty years, or both.

Make your prediction – msnbc.com

Make your Electoral College Prediction – msnbc.com.

This is a cool site – which allows you to not only check out different scenarios, but also check out your pics against other’s pics as well as the current NBC analysis.

Here’s mine:

Houston's 2008 Electoral Pics

For those of you that were holding out hope for Georgia, West Virginia and Indiana – I’m with you in spirit but I don’t think it’s going to happen without a much bigger wave than anyone’s expecting. If that happens, then maybe Arizona turns blue too. The result that I’m most hopeful for is that North Carolina to come through for Obama and carry Kaye Hagan with him.

Buzzing from “Real Time with Bill Maher”

We just got back from being in tonight’s audience for Real Time with Bill Maher. It was a great show – lots of sharp-witted commentary (the remote interview with Michael Moore was particularly good) and a great song from John Legend while the credits rolled.

The traffic out of Hollywood was nuts! We had to get north of Hollywood and Highland just to get a clear lane (was splitting almost the entire way along Fairview and Sunset – crazy in that busted up pavement!) The freaks were definitely out tonight – much more than the usual fare in Hollywood. It was fun to be out in a carnival atmosphere for a bit, especially after seeing such a great show. Now I’m off to set the DVR to record tonight’s west coast broadcast.

Also – check the replay of overtime when they have it on the site – some great New Rules there…
